Sup everybody, I'm Kelvin, 34 and I live in Atlanta, GA. I 've always wanted to be a screenwriter/ director, but I just recently got into screenwriting. My favorite director is Bill Duke, "I love his work." One intrest I have outside of writing is sports. If you want to see my script it's under the unproduced scripts, title "Kinship".
I guess I should introduce myself. Sounds like a good idea. I am Rob, age 22, living in North Carolina. I've written over 10 full length screenplays and around 15 short length screenplays. My favorite writer is anyone who has the bravery to express their ideas openly and is not afraid of what people might say.
Hi All, My name is Stewart and I am currently living in Canada. I'm 27, and I've been writing on and off over the last couple of years...mainly as a hobby. I love watching movies, and playing on the PC. I have currently completed 2 shorts (which I've sent to SimplyScripts to be put online...still waiting )...I have one script on the go, and another full length script waiting to be re-written.
I hope to one day manage to write something deemed worthy enough to be produced...but don't we all.
Welcome! I had a stuffed bear, as a child, named MacDuff...
I hope to get the unproduced section updated this weekend. I just flew in from NewYork this evening (and Boy! Are my arms tired) and have a ton of email to wade through. I hope that you (and everyone else) can be patient while I sort through stuff, get it organized and posted.
Hello, my name is Writer. I am fifteen years old and live in Redding, CA. I go to Enterprise High School(GOOOO HORNETS!!!) and am also in the band. Writing is great, but so is music. I've been playing guitar for the last five years and it has been my thing since then. Movies had always tickled my fancy, and when I was a little kid I had dreamt of one day becoming an actor, and if I was ever offered the job I would probably take it. But then, in the sixth grade, I think, I started writing my own little short stories and really enjoyed them. I was...inspired by Stephen King novels and read a lot of them. I also got into D+D, not just as a geek, but I realized that being the Dungeon Master gave me complete control and so I got to make a story that the players would respond to. Earlier this year, I read "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare- a God among writers- for class. I fell in love with plays. I soon discovered that people actually wrote movies kind of like plays, which makes me feel really stupid when I look back on it. Before I had just thought that producers thought of an idea, and actors were told what to say. I know- stupid. But noone else had ever told me any different. So I soon went on the internet to see how movie scripts were written. When I found out I began to think up ideas and write them down in my notebook. I have started on one and am at least fifty pages into it.
Hi. I'm Rob, 25 this month, an Englishman with Swedish blood and an MA in English Language.
I listen to Beatles, Elliott Smith, White Stripes... mostly tuneful guitar-based stuff, but nothing too grungey or repetitive. I like a lot of 60s music.
My favourite screenwriter is Robert Towne. My favourite director is P T Anderson (as of late).
