I saw this movie last night with 2 of my friends.(Who are girls) I walked in with me expectations low thinking this will be one of those gay "lets all cry together" movies. Well it was not. I actually enjoyed this movie. It keeps you interested. There is not much to say about it but that it was a good movie. Definitly worth my 9 bucks. 10/10
I absolutely loved this movie. One of the best of 2004. The performances are all just so strong, especially Natalie Portman. I was very surprised when she turned in such a flat, wooden performance in Revenge of the Sith after this film, but I'm not complaining about Episode III.
This film is simply mesmerising. I was in for the whole length and I simply can't get enough of it. It's probably the DVD that's had the most spins in my DVD player. It's brutal, honest and simply magical. I loved every second of it. Especailly the dialogue. It's almost hypnotic.
I also enjoyed this movie. The all star cast such as; Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Julia Roberts and Clive Owen were all up to standard, and had a killer song. "The Blower's Daughter" which i couldn't get out of my bloody head.
I absolutely love this movie. It's very underestimated I think. The direction, acting, and especially dialogue is some of the best I've ever seen in my life. There's only four characters through the whole story, and it is some of the most intriguing and interesting stories/portrayals on relationships. It's styalized and edgy and real, the performances are superb, especially Clive Owen, and I really think it's one of the best films ever made.
