I saw this movie tonight. My first impression was bad. I thought it looked cheaply made, and the first 10 minutes or so bored me, too.
but after that it got good. It got very good. I would recommend this one if you like a good scare.
Did the young girl have an imaginary friend named Charlie? Or was it someone who blamed the girl's father for the death of her mother, and wanted to play games with him in order to make him miserable?
I know, but I'm not going to tell.
This is a good one.

Just give away all the secrets, I believe that since they are making so many horror films lately about 90% will insult the viewing audiences intelligence, 5% will be satisfying and the last 5% will be fans of the big actors who love them regardless.

Stick Ben Affleck in there and I'm there any day of the week

Thanks, now the film wont be much scary since you know what to look out for. Is it like Sixth Sence in any way because she sais Charlie is imaginary and in the commercials Deniro looks like he talks to people

Steven,
De Niro is a psycho therapist. Ha Ha Ha
I think it would still scare you cos you don't know what he's up to.
I really liked it. He was very good, as usual, and the girl who played his daughter was very good. Although she is probably about 7 or 8, she put on a good performance. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of her in the future.

She's been in several movies already... I AM SAM -- UP TOWN GIRLS -- CAT IN THE HAT -- MAN ON FIRE -- just to name a few... I'm on a friends PC here so I've got no time to go thru it all, but I know there is more... I'm sure of it.  I'll be back to you on this one.

DAKOTA FANNING --> I believe is here name, spelling off I'm sure.

She's also playing in Speilbergs "WAR OF THE WORLDS" which I'm dreading... very very bad.  I mean, if anyone can do a remake, he's the guy to do it... and the only director in Hollywood outside of William Wesley I'd trust to do so... but this is really an important piece of AMERICAN HISTROY, it really is.

This is more than a movie, this is an event that took place and I don't think he's gonna capture that feeling again.  It's impossible to do what ORSON WELLS, did.

I'll look forward to it, but only slightly.

That's right. She was in Cat in the Hat. I didn't see the others, but she was really good in that one, too.

No need to excuse yourself, Wes... not at all.  In fact, the movie was so fucking bad it made me wanna puke my guts up and piss on the film it was printed on.  Movies, like this one, little black book, and so so so many other America suburb living, pop culture driven piles of MTV and HOLLYWOOD shit... should be banned and taken off the market for more suitable forms of entertainment...

Such as...

Watermellon seed spitting contest
Elephant testacle surgery
Fun with peanut butter in bed
The hazards of chewing fingers to the bone
How many monkey's will fit in a barrel
Why we give a shit what the Hollywood A list wear

That is just to name a very few... But anyways, back on topic... No, Wes... you shouldn't say your sorry for that pile of donkey shit... HOLLYWOOD, MTV, and the youth of America should!  You're Canadian, though, so you're lucky

BALTIS~

The only thing we're responsible for is that creepy ugly super group Nickleback, and oh yeah they film a lot of the American blockbusters over here. So you can say we are a stand in for New York and other big American places

That just goes even further to say we're America junior, Americans hate us because we're so nice and yet they film there movies over here. I guess there lucky I'm not a leader because I'd cut of the border and make you guys spend your own money in your own cities but I guess your making us richer by coming here.

Anyone seen "SECRET WINDOW" it may just be me but this movie looks exactly like that. Im not saying that i didnt like it, i did. Im just saying that it was generic. But i did like it and thought it had good scares, and Dakota Fanning's preformance was great.
