A film about quadriplegics who play full-contact rugby in Mad Max-style wheelchairs - overcoming unimaginable obstacles to compete in the Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece.
Is it, Is it really? They don’t want to be treated any differently then us so that’s how I’ll treat this review. It is a good up and coming “sport” that could pick up any day.
That said I loved this film for its enjoyable characters, story, entertainment value and everything in it. The one guy who thinks he’s portrayed as the bad guy comes off as a good guy as well so he shouldn’t complain in his DVD interview about it.
Documentaries and I just enjoy the company.
ThinkFilm is a good distributor, these guys talk about sex and masturbating a lot more than I would care to hear. It’s funny but too much information (If you think about it they say the nurses would do them favors
but isn't that grounds for the nurses being fired)
The DVD is packed with extras and that’s where this DVD is more than worth the 20 bucks you are asked to pay from any major retailer. It took me a long time to find it because I live in Stupid, Canada… It’s a real place, look it up.
The Jackass crew hangs out with the Murderball guys and hilarity ensues.
The entire 40 minute Larry King Live episode which is really good as well and just a whole bunch of good stuff that pack this bad boy to the rim with material.
For you Americans this film is Rated R, for us Canadians it’s only 14A.
8.5 out of 10 for the feature length film.
10 out of 10 for the DVD as a whole because it is so packed.
