Christmas movies come out every year, we'll never be able to stop them. Sometimes there's original stories, sometimes there's stories that have already been told. But no matter what, November and December -- movies about Christmas are unleashed upon this year. For November, we got the newest comedy, Fred Claus.

Fred Claus is about Santa Claus' little brother, Fred Claus. Who has been jealous of him for many, many years. Fred ends up in jail and needs his little brother to bail him out, as he does, he is forced to move to the North Pole -- to pay his debt.

Vince Vaughn is a great actor, he has the fun style that can bring a smile to any body's face. In this film anyway. Paul Giamatti is the GREATEST Santa ever, and I'm surprised that no one used him first. He is really a treat. And how about Kevin Spacey as another bad guy (not so surprising), he's truly a great actor. There are some other treats such as Kathy Bates, Elizabeth Banks, John Michael Higgis, etc... so obviously -- this film does lack in acting.

There are two things that lack in this film, such as Comedy. Its more of a drama, and I laughed a couple of times. But thats about it, I was a little disappointed, but still enjoyed the film. Hopefully when you go in, you'll think of it more as a Drama then a comedy. The next thing it lacks in? Plot holes, there are tons and tons of plot holes. You really have to turn off your brain when watching this, or else the plot holes will drive you insane! Yes, insane!

Character development is great, there are a couple of sub-plots in the film. They do come out with a great results, whoever wrote this is a great writer. Except for all the plot holes, they really need to work on those. But hey, I guess you'll always have plot holes if you write a Santa-esque script.

That little .5 is the only reason it doesn't get a thumbs sideways.
