I hope y'all don't mind if I got rid of that. Rap debate is more music related than poetry related. Lyrics are cool to post here, but that a whole bunch of nothing.
If y'all want to put up song lyrics, I'm really cool with that.
I disagree entirely, and I'm angry. Music is also a written art. There's no difference between a good rap beat, and a good poem. I was planning to make posts about how the judtaposition of beat and poetry is a legitimate method for dramatic narratives and poetic meanings and whatnot. Many of Eminem's songs are a perfect example. Rap music is a purer form of poetry than poetry itself, because the best examples of rap music are a succinct syntax of music and words, many of which is written in meter which rivals that of Shakespeare's best iambic pentameters. In the future, if you have a concern about a thread someone starts in an area you moderate, please PM the person who began the thread, and at least give the person a chance to reply to your concerns, before you delete that thread. Besides, the thread contained witty banter, and screenwriters should appreciate any chance to practice their skills at writing witty banter.
I'm very angry. If I continue this post, I'll only start swearing about things like your ignorance and intolerance, so I'll shut up now because I don't want to sink to a level of acting on snap judgements about a thing without even consulting the person who cares about that issue. I feel the swears coming on, so this is the end of the post.
Too be fair to Alan it was the others who started the I hate rap vs I like it stuff, he was just expressing himself and than everyone jumped all over him.
That would be true... however, he was talking way way way out of character... I didn't buy the whole Yo's and dis and dat's... that's not Alan... it's just not.
Rap if you want... throw down some lyrics, it's cool. I'll do it all day long and I don't even like the music, but I can write music and even rap a bit... I was just pointing out the facts that Alan said a lot of stuff in his threads and then back peddled a lot latter, that was all.
When I start rapping, trust me, the world will end. It is the last sign of the Apocalypse, Rob layin' down some beats. When I rap, look to the sky 'cuz all hell's about to break loose.
Rap is the pure art form towards perfection in which I strive, but until I reach that level where good lyrics flow, those who have a vested interest in waiting for me to reach a level where my lyrics are presentable, can pass the time waiting at the following web-site, a web-site which has been scientifically proven to speed up the time of everything around you:
