Here is a poem I wrote and turned in for a grade in my english class:

There once was a monster who lived in my head,
but then he escaped and hid under my bed.

My mother came in and said, "Shelby, are you here?"
She saw something scary and then dropped her beer.

"Oh dear!" she said and she lowered her head.
The monster grabbed her and dragged her under the bed

We searched for months, even years for her,
I suspect the monster wears her like fur.

What do you think? Too creepy? My teacher liked it and gave me a 95 which is really good 'cause she grades hard.
