I wrote this for school:

I scream. I die. You smile.
Death Knocks. Life Answers.
:'X = A Silence Voice

- Have a Nice Day

Fuck.
Life Breaks the Chain.
I Stare Death Down. Death Winks.

the chicken crossed the road.

I like it!

In a thousand years, emoticons will be an essential part of grammar ... I bet.

You're not suppose to. It's overly pretensious, emo bullshit, I wrote as a laugh. Inadvertantly I like the use of emoticons, but in truth it's not a good poem.

My friend Josh Derak wrote a good emo poem ...

          The Great Void, by J.D.

          I am a void...
          ...of pain...
          ...and happiness!
          I cry...
          ...every time I smile.
          I die...
          ...whenever I laugh.
Why is my full life so distraught?
If there is a better life, is is worse?
          My joy depresses me.
Puppies and fluffy kittens make me want to
die of laughter from all around.
Fishes with one eye missing give my life
          meaning.
Sticks and stones may break my downward
          spiral...
...but kind words will drill holes in my head.
          All your love repels me.
When you frown, I know there is a god.
Happiness, thy name is bloody death.

[That poem was written by my friend Josh Derak, and said by a character named Anton, in an episode of my series of TV scripts called CARA CHAN]
