That's not an uncommon boast really, Daniel. I have the software, but I'm not in a place where I can use it. Several writers on this site don't use anything other than a standard word processor. I have 2 (I think) scripts on this site that I saved in Final Draft because I was playing with some of the features and whatnot, and I would challenge anyone to pick them out of my myriad of Word scripts.
All that software packages do is automatically set the margins for you. They do not correct you when you write We see and Billie thinks back to his breakfast. They won't tell you if the story is sound or the characters are two-dimensional.
Scriptwriting software won't make you a better writer. It'll just make you a faster one.

Well, obviously. That's why I restricted that comment to the format. And it only makes you faster if you are proficient at using the software. I get annoyed at having to change the style (or whatever it's called) all the time. The program has a little intuitiveness, but I can write just as fast in Word or faster, although speed's not really a factor in writing.
No, a program won't correct those issues you mention, only study of the craft will. In fact, nothing on this thread will correct the "we sees" and the "he thinks" other than learning that these things are incorrect in relation to a screenplay.
