I'm new to this site and my script, The Fickle Pickle, was recently posted in the Thriller section. I guess when I submitted it I was under the impression that PDF files weren't supported, so I uploaded a RTF file. I know now that this is not true.
Frankly, I don't like RTF files. What are everyone's thoughts on this? I would hate to lose potential readers due to file type.
BTW: If your looking for a good time, you should really take a look at The Fickle Pickle. Hint hint.

The formatting sometimes changes when you switch it over to .rtf. And not everyone has Final Draft. Convert it to .pdf. as everyone can read that, or download Reader for free.
Those are my thoughts as well. You should have seen the horror on my face when I saw my 108 pages expanded to 115 in the conversion to RTF. My writing partner and I had literally just finished reducing it to 108 (down from 125) and there I was getting a 7-page screw job by the RTF format.
Thanks!

I haven't read this script at all so can't comment but you say this is a thriller and it's named the Fickle Pickle? Sounds more like an animated cartoon.
Yeah, we get a lot of flack for the title. Neither of us are married to it. It's actually a noir more than thriller, so if you're thinking animated cartoon, hmmm... not good.
If you can find the time, give it a read. If it reads like Tom and Jerry, I'll pay you $100.

Somewhat related to the original post... I was playing around today and discovered that when you save a file as a PDF directly through Final Draft, the resulting file is quite large. In my case is was just over 4MB. Alternatively, I 'printed' the file to PDF using software that allows me to do this. The resulting file size: 269KB.
