How would you format your script to describe a close up of something?
Would you just put CUT TO: CLOSE UP. NEW YORK LICENSE PLATE?

No, you don't want to use camera angles. That's the directors job. Instead, just do this...


EXT. CITY STREET- DAY

A RUSTY LICENSE PLATE reads

             IAMCOOL

The plate shakes as the the truck it is attached to roars to life.


That's how I'd do it...

Person A looks down at his hand.  A full house.

Person B looks down at his hand.  A straight flush.
