Hey, peeps.  
I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on character intro and how to address the following situation.  
I have some characters in my script that are introduced to the reader as costumed characters, like Ghost and Gorilla, since that is the costume they are wearing at the time, only later in the script, when they take said costume off, their real names so to speak are revealed?  How should this work in the actual titling of characters in the script?  For instance I will say, "The gorilla enters the room" or give him dialogue under the character title of GORILLA, and at some point later on, change that to, KEVIN, the Gorilla's real name.  I am just not sure if there is a typical point for this to happen, i.e., once the guy takes off his costume, or do I just call him KEVIN, even though we only know him as GORILLA for several pages and scenes of the script.  
Its probably not a big deal, but any info as to how this should work is appreciated.

That would depend on whether or not you want to keep Kevin's identity a secret while in costume.  If not, introduce him as:

KEVIN enters the room wearing a gorilla costume.

After he takes the head off, you can describe what he looks like.

If you want to keep his identity a secret, then GORILLA is fine.
