Quoted from Grandma Bear

it's pretty easy to fake an IP address...

And you can quote me on that.

You wouldn't catch me faking an IP address.

Seems to me the inciting incident presented itself early, about page two on this thread.

Anybodyhair, I was watching The Making Of The Exorcist last night with Mark "I am not a toilet" Kermode, WP Blatty, Billy Friedken and cast. Fine bit of work.

Blatty said it doesn't matter about a lot of stuff seen as necessary in a script. It matters that it provokes an emotional response in the viewer / reader. It doesn't matter if it's a good or bad one. The story has to engage the audience.

I'd say he's right. Well, I would or else I'd have to post a rant about why not.

I watched FearDotCom after. What a load of pooh. Good actors and a half arsed script and some rubbish editing. Even teenagers would not be that impressed. So I watched the Exorcist again.

"The power of Christ compels you. The power of Christ compels you. The power of Christ compels you."

The Exorcist was the first serious book and film Blatty wrote. Previously he wrote comedy. Goes to show, you never know.
