Since it's rather slow here, would anyone be interested in another Script Club discussion? Maybe everyone is on vacation or something. I'm not and won't be for a while so I'd be game. Anyone?

I'm down so long as it's not another Joss Whedon script.

Why don't we pick one of each and have a poll to decide. Or for that matter, just come up with a list of possible scripts and have a poll.

There will be another thread created. Then someone, hopefully Pia, will lead the discussion. It never ends up very organised even though we try to make it that way. But by the end we cover everything.

There's good and bad to say about organization-- though we try, it's also very pleasant to have improv. We have so much organization in our daily hamster-wheel lives, it's pleasantly welcome by some of us hamsters.
I am looking forward to hearing everyone's views and interpretations. I'm currently reading the script and am very impressed; however, I noticed things already that are different than when I first watched the movie (unless I imagined it). No, definitely one part, I did not imagine and I like the movie take better. I won't say anything more at this point and ruin it.
What I appreciate so far is "the less is more approach" and the little bit of "wheedling" that the writer/s have done to make acceptable, the inner thoughts taboo that readers so often give the no-no not visual head shake and then nix and nine it with a virtual red pen. Yes, the silent edgy conflict exists within this in the white space. Very little needs to be said. The mark of exceedingly talented writers.
