Just reading up on BBC script advice. It says that, dialogue must always follow character name, however I feel parenthetical instructions  may need to come first:

                   CLARE
Okay but don’t forget diner is at 8 O’clock tonight.

                   SUSAN
           (Looking at her watch)
I need to get to college. Will you give me a lift dad?

                  DAVE
No problem.

Should this be done another way?

TIA.

Other than the passive parenthetical, looks good to me!
