Jordan,

Thanks for reading.  The old man doesn't tell them where it is, that is why they have the map.

Agree they need to work to get the gold.  Hopefully, by eliminating the first scene(s) will help me do that.

It does need work, and thanks for the suggestions.  A rewrite is going to happen.

So I guess this is the re-write.

Im probably too critical of Gold stories as I am/was a professional prospector. Ive even been to Zapata Falls prospecting, by the way.

A good premise but in 2013, under no circumstance will you find gold between your toes. Maybe a lost treasure? newly discovered cave while fruitlessly searching?

Characters actions aren't consistent with reality as written

I think the story could be very good.

..

But thats not where the story ends.... theres twists and turns and a coupla' bends.

MikeMac,

Thanks for the read.  Yeah, it's a rewrite.  My luck, I get a real prospector read my script!!    I know about the gold there as well, but this isn't meant to be a technical course on how to get the gold.  I hope the focus would be on the story.  Though, that is still a work in progress.  I would rework it if someone wanted to film it and had problems with the technical part.

I like some of your ideas and will consider them in this rewrite.  I hope I can get this ready so someone can film it.  It's in the hands of some filmmakers right now.

Again, thanks for the read and can return the favor with something of yours!

Hi JJ
I did come off strict when Im newer than new. NG
The gold in the toes thing isnt bad, I think it just needs a set-up. I didnt like when he "threw" the money on the table. I visualized that he was an asshole.
I also have a personal issue with the word "Burger". Yeah Im nuts.

Do you prospect at all?
I used to travel the country and write for "Gold Prospectors Magazine" and the U.S.version of the  "Mining Journal". I still would be if I weren't permanently laid up now.

GL with the script!

Thanks Mike.  No problems at all with the review.  There are hidden gems in almost every review I've received on any of my work.

I haven't prospected even though I have land in Colorado and almost every rock I pick up has gold in it.  The problem is processing it.  Cyanide is frowned upon and for all of the work to crush the rocks, leach the metal, separate the gold, etc. is more than I want to put into it.

That sounds like you really enjoyed it, and sorry you can't still be out there.  Hopefully, the script writing will be as much fun!  Good luck with whatever you do.

If you have something you've written, throw it my way.

Thanks again.
