SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Screenwriting Class  /  Format Help in Found Footage Feature

I need some format help ....working on a found footage feature..and formatting is a nightmare so far. Can anybody point me to a script that has examples of this? Blair Witch isn't a good example..already looked at that one.

In my feature...I'm having problems formatting between present time and when the footage is played.(if this helps any)

Any help greatly appreciated.

I've written two mockumentary scripts (one of which was produced):  Pugumentary and Documentary Killers.

Hopefully, these will help.

Maybe check CLoverfield. There are a few timeline jumps from the footage when it doesnt record anything and shows the protag hanging out with his (Present time) ex-girlfriend.

Don't ask me where to find the script though. Never read it.

In all honesty, I would just use FLASHBACK at the end of the footage slug. Then, if necesarry, do POV shots. That's too much direction for most writers on this site though.
