I hope not, but then again, Western Comedy isn't my usual genre of choice. I'm hoping all the buxom lesbians raise this up a notch, and the nipple comedy will bring this to the level I'm shooting for. Get it...shooting for?

Oh, dear. I see boys will be boys, will be boys.
I do hope there are not going to be a plethora of tacky lesbian themed scripts. Classy, with smart chick dialogue, then yes, for sure, I'll read.
I managed to start mine last night, hopefully will get to finish it tonight. It's something I've never attempted to do before, a genre I've never attempted to write.
I've no idea if anyone will like it but thank you Mr. Blonde for pushing me WAY out of my comfort zone. It's all great writing experience.

No, Libby, I'm def out on this one. I thought of writing, I even asked Sean for another genre - the first one was sports. Then I immediately regretted it as I got sci-fi next. Well, I tried to write, but the thing that I wrote is a stoner comedy that smells like a pisser. No sci-fi whatsoever. So I'm not submitting. Now I definitely can't as I gave away the genre and what I wrote. So I"m out!
Well that's a bummer, Kham. A stoner comedy from you? Sounds like it might be enjoyable. Especially written by a female in a male voice, if you get what I mean.
A few people here have given away their genre. I've been taking notes.
Looks like the female entries (all male characters) are going to be dead give aways. I wonder if I might be the only gal entering now...
I'm definitely out of this one. It has nothing to do with the OWC itself. I actually thought Sean came up with a good one. But I have other things going on right now, so there's absolutely no time to read, nor write.
I'm glad you said it bc I've been holding my 'feminist-rant' tongue this entire time!
I too hope you guys take this seriously and don't just use this as a chance to lampoon female character archetypes.
IMHO, and I said this to Jeff while on Skype, there are only so many character types, but they all exist in both genders. If you're a guy and think writing female characters are hard, just write an all male script and then tweak them into females when finished. Alien was written for a male lead...we've all seen how that turned out.
Libby, I'm not sure on it's comedic value. But it's a stoner something)
Since I gave it away I might as well ask - it's about a guy who finds out his dad is someone's clone and starts worrying if he's not a real human then. It's set in the future. But there's nothing futuristic about it - the theme is clones and whether they are real people. My question is - do you guys think it might be a sci-fi?

That reads like a drama, Kham.
Main genre: Drama, Sub genre:Sci-Fi, I would say.
@ but I would say in case of the OWC it would qualify in both genres
