Sad day for the comedic world.  He will be sorely missed.

Bogus.  Heinous.  Most non-triumphant.

You will be missed, Rufus

That's really depressing.

Carlin was a great comedian, incredibly insightful, and an all around great and funny guy, whom will be missed dearly by his family, friends, fans, and fellow comedians.

I wonder if he got his two minute warning.

Back when Ross was little he used to watch "Thomas the Tank Engine", and for a while George Carlin was "The Conductor" on that show.

Seeing him on a little kids show used to crack me up -- and you kept waiting for him to slip up and burst out with one of his "seven words" -- but he never did.  Too bad haha.

Very cool to see him doing something like that.  He broke alot of ground back in the day, and it is sad to see him go.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

Such sad news! He was such a funny man. I'm really grateful I was able to see him perform in Las Vegas 5 years ago. What a legend. Rest in peace indeed.

Here's a picture I edited to show one of my all time favourite quotes of his, which just so happened to be my myspace profile quote for months!

I know. I just found out about this and it's incredibly sad. I was lucky enough to see him in concert and he'll be missed. The dude was a comic genius and the world is a little emptier without him.

Biggest, saddest celebrity loss I've seen in my lifetime. George Carlin was and still is my favorite comedian of all time, not to mention one of the smartest and most thought-provoking social commentators of the new age, and, of course, legend. I think it's really great how his last special (It's Bad For Ya) tackled death as a issue. It's almost like he was able to defeat death in, of course, a non-mundane way. Still, really sucks to lose a personal hero.
