Read on twitter today that Ridley Scott wants to do another Prometheus. I hope to hell this isn't true, I've barely got over the first fiasco. |

I have to admit, despite my heavy criticism, I would see it just because they left so many unanswered questions. Yeah, that makes me a sucker.

That's my problem. I'll have to go and see it and pay another fortune to the cinema hoping they repair some of the damage from the first one. |

Why not wait for the dvd to come out? When it's 9.99 or less. |

No, what if it's a bad as the first? Then I'd have to get rid of it as quickly as possible lol. |

There was rumors about this from the moment it was released because of all the unanswered questions from the movie.
I also read that Fox would like Scott to do a sequel. It wouldn't surprise me if it happens, and me for one would be interested in seeing it.
The movie had problems but I love the universe in which it's set and I want to watch more of it.
I'm hoping there is a sequel. |

I don't understand why everyone's complaining about the questions remaining unanswered. Ridley Scott wanted to do a sequel from the very start, of course he isn't going to answer all of the questions.
I'm looking forward to it. |

A sequel here would be like paying to see a new season of Lost. They left so many damn questions unanswered, that I felt obligated to continue. On a TV show, I felt manipulated enough to continue... But to shell out cash to alleviate that proverbial rash, I'll pass and wait for the torrent! E.D. |

There's leaving questions unanswered and then there's writing a story that's complete nonsense. Prometheus is in the latter. I hope they do answer some things but it's the things when I went 'why would they do that?' and 'they just wouldn't do that', that remain the underlining problem with the movie. On the upside, Preposterous 2? |

I very much liked the film to.
And as far as I know, unless something changes, a sequel is a done deal from what the studio has stated. But most likely it will have different writers.

I kinda loved the original. It was good to see a sci-fi movie that was actually science-fiction rather than just an action movie with spaceships or giant robots.
I hope they do continue the story. I liked the actors, the storytelling, the questions, the atmosphere. I say, go for gold. |
| I can't live the buttoned-down life like you. I want it all. The dizzying highs, the terrifying lows, the creamy middles. Sure, I may offend some of the blue bloods with my cocky stride and musky odors. Oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called "city fathers," who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards and talk about what's to be done with this Homer Simpson? |

Seems most people here liked the first movie and I'm in the minority lol. I don't see how people think the actors were good (only Fassbender for me), the questions (don't get me started) and the storytelling! What story, it was a shambles.
I kinda hope they make a second and do I much better job. |
