Why even make a sub genre?  If it's horror, you get however many scripts are entered, each with their own.

Yeah, you'll probably get some slashers, some zombie scripts, and some Hostel/Saw ripoffs, but you ma also get some straight monster movies and suspenseful/twilight zone horror right along with it.

I didn't get to read too many of the Horror/Milk entires, but weren't they somewhat varied?

I think the problem is, if you make the challenge "Horror with milk" or "horror with a tricycle" you'll get a lot of rehashed stories with a tricycle in there for good measure, but having no impact on the actual structure or creativity of the story.

If you do a limitation like "no blood" or "no death" you can't get away with writing what you already wanted to write and then just add that prescribed element.

That's a real challenge to me. that ensures originality, and that makes me wanna read what other people came up with.

I'm loving the horror sans blood and gore. Julio, muchas peliculas se han hecho sin sangre, mira a las muchas peliculas de Hitchcock y otros.

Just to reiterate.  There's no guarantee that the next OWC will be Horror.

It could be a musical for all we know.

Musical, I would actually love that. Since I am a New York City girl.

That will be funny - a horror musical. lol. It's probably been done but I would like to see if it has.

Awh, Gabe,

Surely you jest! Remember the "Rocky Horror Picture Show"?
It's one of my favorites.

lol, that was taken off of Broadway faster than I don't know what; all that hype for nothing.

My boyfriend and I saw it in San Francisco. The only redeeming quality was Allison Fischer. The girl's got some pipes!

(The sets and costumes were pretty good, too, but pretty sets and pretty costumes do not a musical make.)

This voting thing is pretty cool Don! One question, where's the horror option? Is thriller considered horror?

Zack, I'm saving Horror to Halloween.

True, but it's still subject to change.  I'd imagine horror as well, which is what I said earlier.
