Update - SSers now own the 2 through 7 slots, and also the 9 slot...
Key for everyone who has work posted there is to remain active in reading and reviewing others' work, because that gives you a higher reader rating, and when your fans get a higher rating, so does your work...
As I said to Ren in this thread earlier, winning is the best deodorant. Makes everything worth it.
But it's a lot of work. The site is really half reading, half politics - campaigning to have your script read.
I really want the win so that I can use it as a selling point in my queries and also to get the half dozen or so people who promised to read my feature to step up already...

AJR
Things are definitely moving around a lot now. I was on the site this morning, and my script moved up two slots since then, and that's without anyone doing anything with it. Someone must be reading other stuff.
I glanced at the current # 1 script, and although it's a feature, I'd like to see someone else up there. That one still needs some work.
No, actually I meant independent producers and agents - what I would do is send them a follow-up e-mail letting them know that my feature was voted #1 and it will get the free read from the Script Factory...
Isn't this the site that's like Facebook? I had one of those once but never really did anything with it... Too much maintenance. Then again, when it comes to your work how much maintenance is too much?
I actually just fell to #3, tailbest - I think there's a quirk with the guy who just reviewed the #2 script in that he posted, like, 12 times on the wire, and I think that gave him a superhuman rating of 2 1/2 stars...

Mike,
The guy at #1 is a really good guy and very active on the site. I read his first act and gave him my comments in an e-mail. True, it needs work, but he's not a bad writer...
I fanned it a couple of weeks ago, partly because I appreciated that he was talking up GA for me and partly because he's so active there...
Lol. My bad. Was under my brother's account. Hate switching back and forth between them.
I wish there could be ties. I've love to see The Chocolatier go up this month, too.
Mr. Blonde / Sean / tailbest / whatever...
I e-mailed the owner of the site about splitting out shorts and features, and he really liked the idea. I'm not sure it will happen this month, but my sense is that Alffy will definitely get his moment in the sun...

Oh, I'm sure.
On a long enough timeline, every script on there will get reviewed, one way or another.
Seems like a good idea though, because how do you really compare a full-fledged feature with a simple short? (Mastered alliteration, huh?)
