Is this the right forum for having a script looked at? there isn't an attachment for these. Do I add a html link to a website to locate it?

Desmond,

You can submit your script using the "Submit Your Script" link toward the top of the forum.

There's also the "Submit Your Script" link on the on the "Unproduced Scripts" page.

As well as the "Submit Your Script" link on the left side of the Simplyscripts.com page.

This is the right board if you want to do a script exchange with someone. You can also upload your script to SS if you want it posted for everyone to see, like Nomad said.

You want me to delete this one, the email thread or both?

I came to this website because I am new to this. I am entering a BBC completion for comedy. The script I asked them to look at was full of presentation floors. I have corrected them and I believe I am in a position to submit it. This is a script exchange which I believe is for me to read someone else’s. I am in the UK so an American scripts with side walks etc might cause difficulty. I could not comment on the layout but I could go through the content. Also as I am in the UK, my script will have a British sense of humour. My favourite of all time was 3rd Rock from the sun. I am happy to give it a go though. I thought of password protecting a PDF but that might be taking things too far.

If you're just looking to have someone check out your script then you can post the link on here and you might get some takers.

You'd probably have better luck contacting someone else who already posted a script here and offer to read theirs in exchange.

Be sure to see when the script was posted. Some people come and go and they may not see your comment.

Desmond, you can submit a script to Don here:
https://www.simplyscripts.com/submit_your_script_new.html

Or you can post a Dropbox (or equivalent) link to your script here in Script Review Exchange, or in the WIP thread.

Some tips for you re SS here as well:

Just looked at the submission form. It asks for a logline ONE SENTANCE explaining everything about the script including synopsis plot and all the emotions. That is a lot to put into one sentance.

A once sentence Logline does not explain everything in the script, Desmond.
Synopsis is optional. It's a teaser/hook to get people interested. Are you not familiar with a Logline?

Okay so a very long sentence 30 words for a log line and a synopsis to go with it. Thanks.

Desmond, a synopsis is longer than a Logline.
Forget the synopsis for now.

You do not need to write a synopsis when submitting a script to this site.
Some people (rarely) don't even include a Logline.
That said, you need to know how to write loglines for all your scripts and if you're having trouble writing one you can list it and get feedback on it here:

https://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?b-logline/

Okay this is a ruff idea

Rosy and Lucy are teenage Lesbians who keep their secret from a staunch Roman catholic family recently moved next door.

Episode
Rosy and Lucy take the piss out of Rosie’s brother Stewart over tarot cards. He decides to get his own back by making them think the house is haunted. British comedy script.

You had me at "teenage lesbians".

Seriously though...

That sounds sounds like it could either be really good, or awfully bad.

I'll keep my eye out for the link and take a look at it.

If it's entertaining, I'll read all of it and let you know my opinion.
If I want to gouge out my eyes after 3 pages, I'll politely let you know it wasn't for me.

I made some minor changes to the script I sent yesterday. I ticked the box saying update. Rosie_and_Lucy_V2.pdf

Is that all I need to do?
