Quoted from Heretic
I will say that I think Star Trek: The Next Generation is the finest television show ever created.  Totally unmatched for quality in all respects, I think...one could argue production values, of course, but other than that.

Y'know ... reruns of ST:TNG capture my attention frequently.  They did some amazing things with that show.

Being in Britain, we have some of the dullest shows which is why i like the fact that they show American shows. These are my faves-

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
One Tree Hill
Lost
Tru Calling(should never have got cancelled after 1 season)
My Wife And Kids
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air(ancient, i know, but quality)

There are some British shows i like which are-

Doctor Who
Eastenders
The Bill
Only Fools and Horses(also ancient but still quality)

Ooh, I know I'll forget at least one but...

Lost - The King of drama
Friends - The King of sitcom (There will never be a sitcom better, just okay substitutes)
Scrubs - One of the best, second to Friends though but just
Joey - Spin Off that's not too great but I still like it
That 70's Show - I guess it's just funny
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air - Will Smith, c'mon!
The Simpsons - Starting to go downhill slowly
Futurama - Better than the most recent of Simpsons
Spongebob Squarepants - It's NOT just for kids
Top Gear - Just really cool and funny
South Park - Never really watch it but I liked the ones I saw

As I said, I probably forgot a couple but...

I may be an idiot, but I'm no idiot.

I agree with Bates. Jake 2.0 was the worst show on the box unless you count Dead like me. Im telling you, in America, to every 10 quality programs theres at least one bad one yet thay cancel the good shows like Angel and Tru Calling.

If they even think about cancelling One Tree Hill, I will SCREAM!!!

I loved Dead Like Me! I'd stay up to all hours on school nights just to see a rerun after it was cancelled. But I agree with you on Angel and Tru Calling, but I never liked One Tree Hill much.

In France, we too have:

the Simpsons
Mad About You (a Comedy dialog model)
Lost
Alias
The 4400

Forget about French TV stuff espacially Nouvelle Star, our French American Idol

I watch all of my TV on DVD because I dislike commercials. The shows I like and have liked are:

The Simpsons
Friends
The Twilight Zone
Stargate SG-1
Tales From The Crypt
Mystery Science Theatre 3000
X-Files
CSI
Whose Line Is It Anyway? (yeah, I've watched this one on TV, but it's more of a guilty pleasure)

I personally despise "reality" TV. I find it to be incredibly unrealistic since they always tend to find the most childish people imaginable. Then again, I also see it as a big game show, and I dislike game shows as well.

Ahhh, the sweetness that is improv.  I need to get one of mty troupes shows up here soon.  We're actually pretty good if I do say so myself.  And I do.

Among my favorites are Lost, Arrested Development, I used to like th O.C. but now it sucks,South Park, and O'Grady.

Re: Whose Line is It Anyway?

I love this show. It makes a deliberate mockery of game shows in the midst of all it does. They assign random points to whatever they want to at the time and the winner is preselected for the most part depending on the final bit. Sometimes the bits work really really well which is a testament to the actual talent behind the often mediocre Drew Carey Show. Sometimes they fall flat, but it's not often. I usually laugh more often at this show more than any other (or even all the others put together). I know it was an import, but fortunately, the improv side makes it original.

Whenever whose line is it anyway was on i watched it. They had a british version but it wasnt as good.

I need to shed some light on the networks in America. How come they cancel all the good shows over there when guys like me go out of our way to watch them. Here's the list:

Angel
Tru Calling
Joey

Now they are considering cancelling One Tree Hill after the fourth season. This cannot be Happening!!!

Sci-Fi started running Dark Angel on Mondays. I like that show. It was before Jessica Alba became this huge Hollywood star... I kind of like her now because of Dark Angel. It's a cool show.
