Hi, just a quick question.

When writing a montage that's kind of extended scenes, do you have to have sluglines? Ones I've done before I haven't, but would this be the correct way to write this?...

BEGIN MONTAGE

- Bob walks along the rainswept street. Pulls his collar up around his neck and fastens his coat.

- Ruth tucks Tim into his bed. He looks upto her with a sad expression.

              TIM
When am I gonna see Daddy, Mom?

              RUTH
Soon Tim, don't you worry about it.

He closes his eyes.

- Bob sits in his bedroom, staring into the mirror in front of him.

To either side are other mirrors that show the previous scenes. They slowly fade to reveal -

END MONTAGE

INT. BOB'S FLAT

- Bob's profile.

--------------------------------

Or would I need slugs for that? I'm confused. I know exactly what it looks like in my head but not how to write it.

Cheers

Ste

P.S That is not the dialogue haha

I just finished writing a script that has two montages in it, I think, and I wrote sluglines within my montages, and then ended it all with END MONTAGE. I think it'd be better if you wrote sluglines in so you don't jump from one location to another without informing the reader.
