Hi. I am interested in writing a spoof comedy in the style of Magnum PI (Tom Selleck). I need to know how you do the voice of Magnums conscience. This is what I have

In the style of Thomas Magnum PI. Rosy Webster slim blond (22) is siting in her office chair with her legs on a tatty old desk littered with paper. In the chair opposite is a Molly a middle aged woman(4

           MOLLY
So your sure you can find my missing diamond ring can you it is very rare?

           ROSY
I’ll look into it for you and see what I can come up with.

Molly leaves.

        ROSY (V/O)
I know what your thinking, why did I ever get involved with this stupid woman. She probably lost it.

Am I on the right track here or not?

Desmond, I guess you're going for style, so the main thing at the top is to establish character.

Here's how they did it in the Pilot Ep of Magnum PI.

Magnum chuckles and we hear what will become a signature of this series -- his fun, affable V.O.:

MAGNUM’S VOICE
Meet my three best friends. The big guy holding the book,
that's Theodore Calvin. Or TC. Ex Marine Corp chopper pilot.
These days he runs Island Hoppers, the smallest,
but best helicopter tour business in Hawaii.

ON NUZO -- as he plops down on the couch.

MAGNUM’S VOICE (CONT’D) 8.
The Italian Stallion, that’s Sebastian Nuzo. Ex SEAL.
We met during BUD/S training in Coronado. Always the overachiever.
He now owns a very successful Marine Salvage company.

ON RICK -- as he puts the sandwiches together.

MAGNUM’S VOICE (CONT’D)
And the guy making baloney and pickle sandwiches,
that’s Orville Wright. For reasons I think we can all
understand he hates his name so we just call him Rick.
Rick was in the Marine’s too. Door Gunner.
Now he runs Oahu’s coolest nightclub.
But mostly he’s, well, connected. If you want
s NJomething on the island, Rick is the man to see.

BACK TO MAGNUM

MAGNUM’S VOICE (CONT’D)
And the poor sap with the frozen bag of peas on his eye -- that’s me.
Thomas Sullivan Magnum. But we’ll get to me later.

You're on the right track. Narration is typically indicated with (VO). That's all you need.

Thanks Lon

P.S. I have a website thescriptlab.com but this is only for films. I got the latest James Bond there not long after it was released. Is there a website for scripts like Magnum, M.A.S.H etc. Would like to see Happy Days (Loved it)

Because it's Christmas, I'll ignore the fact my efforts above appear to have been summarily dismissed:...

Happy Days scripts:
https://subslikescript.com/series/Happy_Days-70992

50 of the Best

It's amazing the resources we screenwriters have access to today with just the click of a button.

And as I am entering the BBC comedy script copetiton, my contrbution

https://www.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/scripts/

BBC scripts freely available.

HOWEVER: I tried the first Happy days called All the way

HAPPY DAYS (1974–1984): SEASON 1, EPISODE 1 - ALL THE WAY - FULL TRANSCRIPT

Seems to only be a song by Bill Haley and the Comets, in fact they all are.

The Happy Days Episodes all begin with the theme song. Keep reading and you will see the transcript. Not full screenplays, but transcripts at least - meaning dialogue.
