I may look really stupid LOL But I am wondering if you can Based a script on a song, because I just notice a while ago that my favorite song could make a pretty good story.
I think it's a keyboard based on the subtitle. But to answer the question, you can totally base a script on a song. You can base a script on whatever inspires you. Depending on how heavily you use the material, credit and rights may or may not be required. I have one unfinished script based on a single segment of a video I caught the trailer for. My story is completely different from the video game, so the game requires no credit. I might, however, mention that while I haven't played Vexx for the Gamecube, it provided me with a neat idea that I ran with...now if I could only fill it out with 30 worthwhile pages...

Well I plan to cover everypart of the song in the script. It is a great but trippy song, and I've clevery put it together to make a Heart Warming Adventure Comedy, LOL. The song is "Wonderboy." By Tenacious D. I'm sure it hasn't been adapted yet, but there is no telling, I've been searching to see. If it is already I will still work on it, I don't play to get this made into a movie. I'm planning on writing a feature length For fun.
He's just sticking his tongue out and the keyboard is like an inch away from his tongue.
Thread starter: I think you can write a story based on a song like you can write a story based out of a book, but I think you need the author's permision though.
