American Legion by Alfonso A. Meneses - Drama - This story is a powerful drama about friendship, loyalty and dedication.  The kind of traits which brings five young boys together.  “American Legion” bonds these boys when one of them gets drafted into the Army.  With the thought of being separated and left behind, their ambition to better their lives sends the four remaining boys to volunteer and join the Army with their friend.  Not knowing that war will one day separate them, they soon discover an inner sense of courage and independence that they never knew they had.  From boys to young men, from young men to soldiers, from soldiers to heroes, these five kids from a small town in New Jersey learn the hard way what friendship really means. - rtf format.
