Epiphany by Brent Saltzman - Sci Fi, Drama, Philosophical - A depressed astronaut and his crew, while on a routine space-station visit, become engulfed with the occurence of strange phenomena and an entity they believe to be God. - doc, format
Thank you, but to understand the god-like figure, you must first understand that the conscious can create things that may seem to manifest physically, Nemo, the 'god' in this story, is simply evidence that Gabriel DOES still have a little bit of faith. Hopefully that makes a little sense. I'm not implying the that there is no creator, just that we may be our own creator........
Impresive. Try to keep with all first names or all last names you mix it up a bit. Maybe I was just in a bord mood when I red it but the first bit, seemed somewhat stale. I like the psychotrist scene, and the restaroaunt scene, and the grocery scene but you could cut a bit of the other material. I think starting with a bunch of fade outs and fade ins and frequent cuttaways, can confuse an audince who is still thinking about their busness confrence and stock trades, and who are not yet drawn fully into the story. I havnt finished the thing yet, so don't give stuff away but do you personally, believe in god?
I don't think no person has an exactly identicle belief, and that most people, despite what they say, are skeptical of their own beliefs. I believe in something, if it's god or something else, I don't know. I rather not say. There's a lot of me in Gabriel.
All manifestations of Gabriel's mind. The best way people usually get over relationships is to find a new one, which his conscious created for him. Tommy is kinda bland, I'll admit, I could tell you he's a portrayl of Gabriel's youth, being flashed in his own mind, but the honest answer is that I wanted a third character.
first off i want to tell you that you have an amazing story here. it kept me on the edge of my seat till the end.
i have one question, though. you stated at the end that when we die maybe our mind finds a different conscienceness that we might prefer, thus causing that conscienceness to live that prefered life. does this mean that he is really killed by peters and awakes in his prefered life or did the space thing actually take place?
He was dead for a little bit, so his mind was drifting. The entire space thing was self-materialized, if you can put it that way. It was sort of a transition stage between going from one universe to the next. But you can decide.
