I just recently became aware of Plotbot, a site for collaborative screenwriting.
From the site's About page:

What is Plotbot?
Plotbot is a web-based collaborative screenwriting application where you can write a screenplay with as many or as few people as you like. Adopting the wiki approach to screenwriting, each element is editable by any member of a project. You can also comment on, delete or restore any element....
...We have both private and public projects. Only the people that you invite can read or contribute to a private project. Your screenplay is stored in fragments in our database, so only members of the project can read it. If you create a project, you have precise control over who you allow to do what on your project. If you just want people to comment on your screenplay, no problem!
I've only used the site for a day now, but it seems like good screenwriting exercise. Worth a look, I think.
Okay, perhaps it's uncouth to bump up my own reply-less thread - but here goes.
I know many of you are too busy with your ideas to mess around with collaborative work, but I've found it quite enjoyable in the short time I've done it.
I imagine most of us dream of becoming working screenwriters (some of you already are to some extent), and many working writers are called upon to rewrite others work - this site allows you to stretch those (perhaps unused) creative muscles.
Also, you can create private projects and invite only those you wish to participate.
The project I've worked on most, Operation Smoking Dragon, is an over-the-top, 80's action thriller, and it's been fun tweaking other's ideas.
Basically, I just want to get more people involved in this relatively new and inactive site. I know some of you are bound to enjoy as I have.
I'm over at that site and I have a private script that I work on because I can easily access it from work. So far I haven't seen anything that I have been interested in collaborating on, and I do look at what's new and active every couple of weeks or so. I've looked at OSD but it isn't my cup of tea.
There was another online collaboratation thread on SS and I suggested that folks look into using the marvelous but young tool so that we may help it grow. Maybe they have joined the site and maybe they are having trouble finding something to collaborate on as well. Maybe they are already collaborating and we just don't recognise any of their names.
...So far I haven't seen anything that I have been interested in collaborating on...
Yes, that is a problem. Hopefully, that will change as the site grows. I think people are worried about wasting good ideas on public projects, which is a fair concern.

I'll admit it isn't completely my cup of tea either, but I'm trying to flavor it to my liking . Mostly, I'vejust enjoyed the process of tweaking.

Right.
I just thought I'd throw the bait out there again. It couldn't hurt.
