Well Christmas tome is upon us, just wondering what everyone's favourite Christmas movies are.

For me the list would go

1 - A Christmas story: This Christmas classic is one of the best Canadian films ever made, I loved every moment of this film, and the scene with the department store Santa is a classic, one of the funniest moments ever.

2 - The Ref: Dennis Leary and Keven Spacey are great in this very dark and very crude Christmas story, it's foul and offensive, but it does have the Christmas spirit, and Spacey's mother is a hoot.

3 - Bad Santa:  I think Billy Bob Thorton plays the funniest store Santa ever and his Midget friend is a riot, some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is unforgettable, also it features John Ritter's final performance, and a good one at that.

4 - A Charlie Brown Christmas:  I know this isn't a movie but I make sure to catch this every year, it makes me smile from start to finish, it's a holiday classic.

5 - Gremlins: Might not seem like a Christmas movie, but I loved it, Spike is one heck of a villain and there are a lot of laughs, even if some of them are morbid.

6 - Scrooged: Bill Murray stars in this modern update of a Christmas Carol, I think the Ghost of Christmas present was my favourite, plus the Murray's add for A Christmas Carol is wicked.

7 - Tim Burton's A nightmare Before Christmas: This is one of the best animated Christmas movies, visually stunning and some great songs.

8 - The Grinch who stole Christmas: Not to be confused with the live action film, Like the Charlie Brown Christmas, it ain't a movie but I feel I have to watch it over the holidays.

9 - It's a Bundinful Life: This Christmas episode of Married with children has Sam Kennison as Al Bundy's guardian Angel, a great spoof on It's a wonderful life, and a lot funnier in my opinion.

10 - Die Hard: John McClane kickin' ass, Hans Gruber as one evil S.O.B, and the line "now I have a machine gun ho ho ho" to me,  make this a holiday classic.

Yeah I liked Bad Santa, Jordan.

But my all time favourite Christmas flick is Silent Night Deadly Night.

On Christmas Eve young Billy accompanies his parents to see his catatonic grandad in the nut house. His parents leave him alone with the old geezer for a few moments and he springs to life and gives Billy his distorted take on what Santa Clause does on Christmas Eve. After they leave the nuthouse, Billy's family run into an armed robber dressed as Santa who murders both of Billy's parents in front of him. This lays the foundation for Billy to grow into an axe wielding maniac who goes on a murderous rampage whilst dressed in a Santa Clause suit.

I must admit, I've always loved National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. When Chevy was funny.

Not my favorite scene, but I love that movie. We usually watch it late on Christmas Eve... after my husband's gone to bed.

My favorite scene is almost anything with Eddie in it. Love the one in the grocery store. Or should I say grossery.

I'm a traditionalist.  I like A Christmas Carol with Allister Simm, It's a Wonderful Life, and March of the Wooden Soldiers.

Yeah, that one is my favorite -- note the avatar -- and I need to watch it once a year.

One Christmas while I was still in school we were at this noisy bar one night, the kind that has televisions up on the walls.

But when the Grinch came on, every table got quiet.  The whole place started watching it.

And when the Grinch's heart grew 3 sizes, everybody stood up with their beers and started shouting and high-fiving like they were watching a football game.  It was pretty funny.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite but it's more of a Halloween tradition for me.

As For Christmas, it's gotta be Mickey's Christmas Carol.  This is one cartoon that seems to improve with age.  Maybe it's the traditional hand-drawn animation and the way they captured Dickensian London or maybe it's the characters that make it come alive.  Either way it's a real classic.  

Where's the love for "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer." It's like a classic underdog story. Like Bambi meets Rocky.

A Christmas Story is one of my favorite films of all time.  There's nothing quite like lounging in a comfy chair with a mug of hot chocolate and watching it on a stormy night.  Good stuff.

And I know many will disagree, but "Jingle All the Way" has also been a favorite of mine.  It's funny, action-packed, has lots of toys in it...fun stuff.

Christmas Vacation and Home Alone are fun too.

Ditto on that...TBS runs it non-stop on Xmas eve, which I'm always watching while I'm finishing wrapping stocking stuffers for the boys and taking care of "Some assemble required" items.

An all time classic, funny without being overly preachy...

TV favorite is the Year without a Santa Claus, with the classic Heat Miser/Cold Miser song

Looks like I'm the only sicko whose favourite Christmas movie is a slasher. Tis a great slasher though.    

I watch Christmas Vacation 4 or 5 times a year, and never get tired of it.

Christmas Story is also another favorite of mine. I found a Christmas ornament of the leg lamp, and had to buy it.
