So It's that time of year when Hollywood's attention turns to awards. The Online Film Critics Society have announced their shortlists and although I guess fairly predictable It is always worthwhile seeing which scripts the critics thought were worthwhile this year rather than just what the box office says was worthwhile...

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY

Kelly Masterson - Before The Devil Knows You're Dead
Steven Knight - Eastern Promises

Good stuff. Though it is... very predictable.

I think Diablo should win for Best Original Screenplay, sure.. the dialog would've been really weird to read at first, but it is the most creative. A lot of teenagers talk offbeat like that. I really hope she wins.

Best Adapted Screenplay -- I really don't know. There's some good ones on there, I'm stuck in between There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men.
