This is a bit witty. Martin Scorcese has joined the battle to get people to turn off cell phones in the cinema...

Are cell phones really that big of a problem? I've never been inconvenienced by someone with a cell phone in a theater or in a store by that matter.

I wonder how much Scorsese was paid to "join" the battle. I'll jump ship and join the battle if they pay me half of what they paid him.

That was good. It's funny, the other day I was thinking that cinemas should launch an ad campaign, not only to get people to switch off their phones, but also to shut the fuck up during the movie.

When I watch a movie I like to immerse myself in it, but when people start yabbering on phones or to each other I'm drawn back out of it. What kind of moron doesn’t know that it’s bad form to talk during a movie? My guess is that it’s the kind that needs to be educated by an advertising campaign.

Haha, nice ad. But is anyone really going to listen to Martin Scorsese anymore than anyone else? Maybe they will.

People talking and making noises are much worse than cell phones in my experience.

Well like you said, you've never been interrupted by cell-phones at the movies. I don't think it compares if you've ever been watching an amazing movie and then have CHAMILLIONAIRE - RIDIN' DIRTY interrupt the pinnacle scene in the movie, and then listen to the guy actually trying to have a conversation because he thinks no one's bothered by it.

People making noises is bad. Parents who read subtitles for their kids is bad. But cell-phones takes the cake.

Just thought I'd mention that my fiancee and me went to the cinema with another couple to watch Sweeney Todd and there was only four other people in the whole cinema!  It was lovely, like a huge screen in your living room.  Feet up, quiet and a great film too.

Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.
