I met the awesome Bruce 'The Chin' Campbell along with Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger) at a Collectormania convention in the UK. There were other famous people there too, George Takei, Ernie Hudson, Warwick Davis, to name a few, but I only really spoke to Bruce and Robert (had my picture taken with them), although Mr Hudson did say hi on his way to the toilet!
i met jim carrey! he grew up in my old town, on opening night of Bruce Almighty, he came to the little theater with his family, he signed autographs for so long, really nice guy never looses his energy!
Um...I've met Danielle Harris and Ken Foree. Gunner Hansen too...briefly. My sis met Scout Taylor Compton and that chick from Saw...and also the girl who played Fran Stalinaschovichmakoserovich (?) in Dodgeball.
For some reason I'm not interested in meeting "big" celebrities at all.
I lived in Malibu for about 9 months in the mid 90's and met a bunch of celebs there. It was difficult not too. Some of the locals were Martin Sheen who walked to the post office to collect his mail daily, Cheech Marin who seemed to shop at the grocery store at the same time we did, Gary Busey who used the same optometrist. Sly Stalone worked out at the gym on the corner (saw him quite buffed and very short many times). Cher lived in the neighborhood as well but you never saw her and her house was like a fortress with cameras that watched your every move.
I go to Horror conventions and I've met some there including Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, P.J Soles, Tom Savini, Tony Todd, Erica Leehrson, Henry Rollins, Kelli Moroney and some others. I really want to go to the Halloween Convention in October in Pasadena(Celebrating the 30 year anniversary of its release) but the tickets are too much. It seems fun.
I met Stone Cold Steve Austin back when he was still Stunning Steve Austin back in '91 or '92. I had no idea who he was. I was working at a t-shirt shop on the Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. He came in with his wife. She was shopping, he looked bored, so I struck up a conversation. Tha night, me and one of my buddies go to the wrasslin' show at the convention center with a couple of bottle of Mad Dog stuffed down our pants. About halfway through the card, the ring annoncer introduces Stunning Steve Austin. The crowd starts booing him. I was like "No, he's a nice guy. I talked to him this afternoon. He'd really a great guy!"
I sipped champagne with Tiny Tim on a sunset booze cruise off the coast of Islamorada in the Florida Keys. Nice guy, and really, really tall. He played his ukulele and sang for us.
I saw John Goodman in a bar in New Orleans, but he was so drunk he could not even speak, and he would not stop leaning over the bar, constantly exposing what may have been the largest butt-crack known to man. It was frightening.
Oddly, I have never met anyone famous while sober.
My parents are good friends with Joel Murray, so I've seen a lot of him. Never met Bill, which would be awesome, but Joel's really funny--a dark sarcastic humor.
I met nick kroll from best week ever.
I met and talked for a bit with the band Tally Hall.
Thats about it. I've seen a bunch, though, like clint eastwood, and Heath ledger and that dude from the O.C., but didn't talk or even say hello or anything.
