She might be exactly what they say she is in that letter, but in her defense, I would say that she's only 23. Everyone tells her she's super super mega hot. The new MM. Guys dreaming about her and so on. At her young age, I'm sure it can be a bit overwhelming to deal with. Maybe when she matures some, she'll realizes her ways.
Remember that celebs are very isolated in a way. They are surrounded by people who constantly keeps telling them they are IT... She'll learn... if not...the fans will shun her.
Ah, Megan...Why do they expect to put this 22-23 year old girl through the Hollywood machine and yet expect a different outcome? No doubt she is probably a monsterous prima donna on the set, but, bottom line, she's the one bringing in the paycheck for the grips, the wardrobe people and those poor, unfortunate souls who have to glycerinize her tummy...However, her shelf life is relatively short before some other hot young thing explodes on the scene and she's reduced to being a question on Jeopardy or another D-Lister has been on a reality show.
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently - Dove Chocolate Wrapper
It has GOT to be fake. No one can be that immature. Megan is only 23. These guys have no excuse. So classless. So unprofessional. What's the industry coming to? Can't they even PRETEND to be cool like before

Good question Reaper.
Isle 10- A series I'm currently writing with my friend Adam and it will go into production soon. Think The Office meets 10 Items or Less.
This made me laugh...a lot. Actors late to the set? No! It can't be true! A prima donna attitude from a lead who's 23 and considered by the world over to be smoking hot? Surely, this can't be!
I told two people on my own cast (who are very pleasant to work with, by the way) that we're shooting at 6pm. They arrive at 7, do their makeup and stuff till 7:15, and we finally get to rolling at 7:30. Fortunately, no one questioned why we were there so late...
I think it was nice of the crew to defend their beloved director (can't go wrong there), but they should have stuck to down playing Megan's comments without bitchslapping her back.
She may be all the things that they described, but stereotyping her as "dumb" because she happens to be good-looking makes them look pretty shallow themselves.
Those who went to Transformers for her need a life and to find better uses for money.
Welcome to "Sex Sells!".
No-one here is innocent of this. We all 'buy' a prescription which has been 'sexed-up' to a degree. Be it that alluring car, sexy underwear, romantic dinner, the showering of gifts to a new partner or the 'sexed-up' man/women on the first date - we are trying to appeal to whomever we desire, or fulfilling a need. Who is to judge? Selling 'Transformers' on sex appeals to a huge moviegoing segment. Sex determines purchase of a multitude of products, and it's an undeniable focus of every person. It's merely degrees and context that differ.
Also, it seems folly to judge a person solely on their movie tastes, as though that matters. Many of my friends have done the same as what you state, and they're as fulfilled and intelligent people as you could wish to meet.
