When there is something outside the sphere of our language, we create a word for it, and it then becomes part of our language.
Not so long ago, there was no such thing as the internet. Even the word did not exist. There were not even words to describe the concept.
According to the Whorf hypothesis, all of this could therefore never have arisen.
No, Bert it's not. Think about this seriously before ranting off like I often do. Not only do we create from words/thoughts, but the word creates our thoughts too, I think. I t-h-i-n-k how cool is that? Bottom line: Words, thoughts, creation or creation, thoughts, words. Makes ya think.

It's no secret I haven't watched that many movies or even much television compared to many people (irony at its finest) and so the name "Morticia" immediately rang a bell, but I actually had to think for a moment and ask my husband: "Who's Morticia?"
