This afternoon someone broke my girlfriend's car and stole her laptop. The funny thing is that, she park the car near a big restaurant but the heavy rain helps the thief , noone was around.

In her laptop was a part of my screenwriting work , 2 full length scripts i wrote two years ago. The good thing is i save my scripts in 4 different places. 2 PC's , 1 usb hard disk , and in dvd's.

As you can understand im i little overworried about them. I know the possibility that the thief will stole my ideas is really small , but this is a thing that worries my right now ( im a big weirdo).

What do you think?

To be on the safe side, register/copyright your work immediately if you haven't already done it.

That's right, you automatically own the copyright to anything original you have written. But in order to prove you wrote it first you have to either register your script with the WGA or a Copyrtight Office (or both).

PS: These are US sites. There might be some Greek sites that do the same job.

The way I look at it, people can steal my work all they want, but they can't steal my experience and love of life and the people here on Simply.

You can't steal it or buy it. And THAT is priceless. Don't be afraid like some people that you have something that you need to protect.
