I was just reading a magazine article about Dennis Hopper and it said that he has prostate cancer. He was supposed to appear in Melbourne last week for the opening of his exhibition called Dennis Hopper & The New Hollywood. But he had to cancel his appearance to begin treatment. That's a damn shame. I hope his treatmnet goes well.
Damn it. He' sone of my favorite B-movie actors -- in no way as good as Udo Kier Lance Henriksen or Malcom mcDowell, not in my opinion, anwyay, but pretty good.
Yeah. He's been in a few B-movies. But he's also been in some good-great movies too like: Rebel Without a Cause, Cool Hand Luke, Blue Velvet, Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, Rumble Fish, Jesus’ Son, Red Rock West and one of my favourites River's Edge.

Don't forget the totally awesome, ground breaking, Romero epic "LAND OF THE DEAD" Stellar performances around the house in that one. Same movie where George Romero, in his senility, threw his rule book out the window on. It's like George wanted to make a zombie movie suck so bad that people would turn away from them completley... Almost like a victim of his own work kinda thing.
On the plus side, I love Easy rider (thanks to Peter Fonda more so, though)... Blue Velvet, Rivers Edge and Cool Hand Luke. All fantastic films... I think he's certainly one of the most eccentric actors, maybe even more so than Jack Nicholson, of our time.

I loved it when the nearly-headless zombie who according to Romero's own laws, for all intents and purposes, should have not functioned at all, managed to bite Manolete's arm in an amazing display of pure CGI epic-ness. LOL!
To be honest, I do enjoy watching Land of The Dead sometimes as a guilty pleasure, and yes, I am almost embarassed to admit it.
