Hello everyone, I'm new here. I've taken an interest in screenwriting and now think about developing my ideas everyday. This site looks interesting and helpful and I was hoping for just 1 minute of someone's time please.
I've written just the first page but have never had any feedback. Firstly, how do I upload this to the site and secondly, would someone have a quick look over it please. I have used Trelby.
The site normally allows you to post completed scripts up for feedback via the script submission form, however, submissions are currently closed. They should be open again within a few weeks.
If you want to post an unfinished script up, the 'work in progress' sub-section of the forum is your best bet:
First of all, welcome to the site. If you've only got one page, then feel free to send it over to me. It won't take up too much of my time to read one page.
If you're interested, send me a PM and I can arrange contact details from there.
Welcome to SS. I'm always down to help a new member with a few pages.
If it's just one page, I'm sure you could cram it in a PM and send it my way or do as Toby suggested above and post it on dropbox or free_pdf_sharing in the "work in progress" thread. Either way, I'll take a look.
A piece of advise. The way things work around here is to give reviews to get reviews, even if you don't think you have much to offer. Reviews are a win/win for everyone involved and your opinion is always enough IMO.
So good luck and hope to see your around the site.
RegularJohn, danbotha, Toby E - Thanks for the welcome and advice. I will certainly be reading and reviewing other scripts, not least to get experience of critically reading others to develop my own writing methods.
I have set up a dropbox account and I'll post the page into the work in progress section, please keep your eye out for it.
