What good are choices if they're all bad?

Something was seriously going on in the end of January. On the final day of the month, we had more clicks on the site than we had in 63 months of the site's existence (not including February '15). We had a monster day on the 29th, too, but not nearly as big. Just thought it was worth noting.

Could be an attack of bots; email harvesters etc, etc...

One of my sites got hacked (through sql injection) and was redirecting to a site called filestore123. It was hijacking the SEO modification and it took me a week to figure it out.

You've got all sorts going on on the web... I wouldn't pay it much heed. A site like this is pretty safe as scripts aren't written for vulnerabilities in this software that I'm aware of. The popular software gets attacked regularly, like vBulletin, IPB... even phpBB. They don't need to be real hackers. Real hackers find the vulnerabilities and they are then shared with hacking sites. Forums just like this one, but for hackers. Then kids, like 7 and 8 years old, attack and deface sites. Others are money oriented for traffic like the filestore thing, usually adults do that.

Lots of clicks for few replies.  It was a spammer.  Been handled.
