Hi guys,

Some of you may remember that long ago I offered to film a OWC of my choice, way back in February 2011.

I chose a script called Captive by Brian K. Millard.

After a long journey, I'm pleased to announce that Captive, with the exception of a couple of drone shots to be completed tomorrow, is now in the can!

We had an incredibly talented crew. You always say that kind of thing whatever you shoot, but in this instance it really was true. Everyone was incredible.

The Art Direction was amazing. The Cinematography outstanding and the effects were provided by Millenium FX, one of Europe's biggest FX houses.

The performances were also great, particularly from the real star of the show, Lucy Clarvis, who really put her body on the line for the film.

Shot on RED at 4K, it hopefully should look fantastic. (I'm waiting for the delivery of a new computer powerful to edit it before I see all the footage).

Couple of little back scene snaps to whet the appetite.

Still a long way to go, what with all the editing and foley that will need doing, but I thought those that have long memories might be interested.

Ahhh....but how will it compare to the immortal classic Them That's Dead, from the same OWC?

That, sir, is the question.

Kidding aside, looking forward to checking it out.  Your track record is indeed impressive.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

Wow - this was fabulous!!!!

The acting was terrific with a particular shout out to Marc Bayliss (Paul) - he was riveting.

Really well done!

That's an old one, Dave.

Just in my signature. Marc is now a household name in the UK from his time on a Soap Opera called Coronation Street. All due to me, of course.

Captive is going to look a hell of a lot better than that, I hope.

Excellent news Rick! That OWC had lots of really good scripts in it if I remember correctly.

Need to talk to you about AM soon too.

Good luck with it mate. I just watched the film in your sig too and it's excellent. I think it could have done with more aggression in the house, like when he grabbed the victim, it looked like a weakish shove. I think it would have been better if he grabbed his hair and proper yanked him. Some excellent acting though... oh, another thing I noted was the use of 'pants' when they're British.

Excellent little film though. Nice work.

I remember TTD well, it was a really great script and Pia showed a hell of a lot of ambition filming it.

Definitely. With the crew/contacts I have now, I feel I'm ready for a feature.

Still got a HUGE amount to learn, but I'm getting there.
