We all remember the 1989 NES game, Friday the 13th, right? Well the iconic horror juggernaut -- about hockey-masked (or sometimes burlap-sack-masked) Jason Voorhees (and sometimes his mother) slicing and dicing teenagers at Camp Crystal Lake -- is returning to video games, thanks to the following folks: Gun Media Sean Cunningham (creator and director of Friday the 13th) Tom Savini (makeup and gore effects legend) Harry Manfredini (composer, creator of the iconic "Ki Ki Ki" sound effect that sounds like "Ch Ch Ch") And last, but certainly not least... Kane Hodder (Most prolific Jason, starring in 7-10, and also the most popular) These guys need your help on Kickstarter. They've so far raised $657,183 of its $700,000 goal, from 9,748 backers. There's only six days left, and the numbers have increased substantially, daily. http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3369262/design-a-kill-in-friday-the-13th-the-game/The game is getting a lot of press on horror and video game news sites. Pretty exciting. I know that this game can meet its goal. After all, the star of the game is a goalie. |
