1) To keep my faculties, keep writing and die historic on the fury road... er, when I'm really old. 2) Yes would love one, is that an employment offer? 3) Yes. 4) Both, I write as I feel compelled to and I enjoy it. 5) It's a passion. 6) Yes please, though realistically it's not for anything I've written so far 7) I spend a lot of time on trying to get my scripts out there and made, I'm also active on social media and I'm very supportive of other screenwriters... not sure if any of that will help, but figure it won't harm. Hopefully my scripts.
Well I'd like to win an Oscar for my writing, as many others would too, but I feel I'm still developing as a story creator and scriptwriter - with a long way to go... I've not written anything that would be worthy of one... yet

What's your end game? Before I die, being content I did the best I could.
Do you want a steady job writing for a local producer, creating local soap operas? NO! If I have to write other people's ideas, or even worse, rewriting other people's scripts, it would be creative suicide. I don't care how much money they would offer.
Do you want to turn your masterpiece into a Hollywood/Bollywood feature or short? I can't decide that. I'm the writer. Either people like my stuff or they don't. I let most people who like my stuff use my scripts.
Do you write for fun or is it something you use to express yourself and you life expierences in a different way? It's a need.
Is it a hobbie? Yes.
Do you want to win an Oscar? Couldn't care less. However, if I for some reason did, I'd ask Don to take the lovely Mrs. Boose to L.A. and fetch it. I'm not into awards, but this is where it all started for me, so that is my plan.
If so, what steps have you taken besides writing a script to reach that goal? None.
What seperates you from the million other screenwriters in the world? I'm unique. As is every other person on this planet. Our experiences and how we see things are all different. My experience/view is unique as is everyoneelses.
Oh, and Eldave, you're far from being the only older person here...
Eldave.. Thanks. You make my 48 feel positively teenage.
End game. To write stories which make their way to film. In two months of doing this seriously, I am amazed how many stories have just exploded out of me. All very raw, with shitloads of mistakes, newbie errors and formatting blunders, but with every script written, I get just a little bit better... in no small part to this site and the feedback received on my works.
So, if that first 'end game' eventuates a few times (and there is one in the pipeline atm), I then may re-adjust my end game aspirations to something which may attract some money, prestige etc.
Three months ago I had quite a complicated eye operation. Off work for that time (just started back this week). After a month of self pity and going stir crazy, I dusted off a couple of old scripts I had begun about 12 years previously. Since then I have completed eight shorts, have had two picked as Official Selections for festival competitions, and have had one optioned by a Malayalam (Indian) film maker. This may turn out to be the best serious eye operation I could ever have had.
