I see your Sharknado and raise you Birdemic: Shock and Terror.

I'll throw in a few suggestions of some of the weirder stuff I've seen lately (to not rehash any titles) that pleasantly surprised me.

Honeymoon (2014)
I think this one's on Netflix still, I've watched a few times and I was really taken with it. Simple story, well acted, and great characters to get invested in.

Magic Magic (2013)
This is one you'll either love or hate. It may be too different for some people, but I found it genuinely eerie.

The House of the Devil (2009)
A fun, tense throwback film.

Starry Eyes (2014)
With all this talk of The Neon Demon, it reminded me of this little horror gem. Creepy, brutal and well worth the build up.

Creep (2015)
The most effective found footage film I've seen in awhile. It's by no means terrifying but it grows eerily uncomfortable really fast.

Thanks.

I've only seen Honeymoon and The House of the Devil, so a few new ones to add to the list.
