I was out last night in NYC, and was disappointed to not see a bunch of people in Joker costumes trying to out-do each other. (Did see one particularly well-down Harley Quinn.)

For me, the run-up to Hallowe'en has turned into a frantic search for

(1) Relatively safe places to let kids be kids. When did we decide it was okay to expose kids to all kinds of harmful stuff?
and
(2) Treats that my kids can bring to school which avoid a laundry list of allergens. When did we decide we have to protect kids from exposure to anything possibly harmful?

I'm am perfectly fine holding that contradiction in my head

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)
