Fuck yeah. Who the hell can write during this shit?

I can. I have five kids all at home at the moment. Noise-cancelling headphones ensures I don't hear anything but music while I write. They're not even an expensive pair. I originally bought a pair of Sony but sent them back because they didn't work. I then found a pair for around £25 that have worked fine for two years so far. They're not a brand you would recognise, I think.

here is a link to them on Amazon but they're sold out: https://www.amazon.co.uk/EFOSHM-Cancelling-Over-ear-Headphones-Case-Black-Black/dp/B01DXUJEWS?th=1

And someone forwarded me this. Do people really call 911 for that I wonder. Or police just want to make sure they donít. Or the reporter is just being funny. But it gives me joy to know someone called 911 for that

Someone I know had to call 111 for a non-coronavirus related thing (111 is a number for our national health service when you need urgent medical advice but is not an emergency)

Anyway, they were talking to the operator and the operator said people have been calling up with questions such as:
"Is my school open?"
"When is the next Sainsbury's delivery of toilet roll?"
"Does Corona beer cause Corona Virus?"

My relationship with mankind was already shakey before this outbreak, now I want a divorce.

Does anyone know anyone else who has Coronavirus? I know of at least four people who believe they have it and their symptoms would suggest this is the case. All are fine.

For myself, I believe I have already had it... and it was quite bad for me. Then again, when I do get hit with flu it usually takes me down for a while. That's why I meditate as it can be quite scary when you're actually going through it. Well, I call it meditation, it's just my own version of it. I'm not a Buddhist.

Worse, I've been reading reports of actual racism against Chinese people. Trump surely didn't help with this the other day when he called this a Chinese virus. However, I did make this same mistake early on when it all kicked off in China whilst standing a few yards away from a Chinese friend of mine. He shot me a strange look and I instantly realised my faux pas.

I obviously only meant that it was a virus and it was only in China at that time, but it must have sounded as though I was blaming China for the virus. It's just a poor choice of words.

However, there are a lot of stupid people out there who do blame Chinese people. Why couldn't they create a virus that targets IQ? Anyone over 18 years old and with an IQ lower than 105 gets it and it's likely to be fatal. The world would definitely be better after coming through that.

Yes, it is on the increase - which doesn't surprise me at all (It appals me, but doesn't surprise me).
It's prevalent on all levels, from avoiding going to Chinese takeaways to actual physical assault.

As the years go by I feel more and more like society is regressing, dumbing down, becoming more racist and extreme - Then we go ahead and elect racist, bigoted, chauvinistic leaders which seems to have validated the views of those in the population who are of the same ilk "Hey! if our leaders are like that, we can be like that"
I've always thought the majority held similar views to me, that I was "right". But now I feel I'm in the minority and led to beleive that I'm a "snowflake lefty" just because I don't want to kick out immigrants who live and work here perfectly fine.

I gave up on social media a long time ago.

I also have a pair of noise-cancelling headphones I quite like. Problem is, itís just me. My wife is still being called into work, so Iím in charge of their schedule. Once the wife gets sent home then itíll be different.

That said, Iíve been sick for the past few weeks. A normal type cold that progresses. Yes, Iíve had a cough, but no fever and nothing that has knocked me out of action. I visited the doctor and they suggested bronchitis (I do vape), gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way.

Though I am curious to know if I actually have it. If I do then I am holding up okay. But, itís not me I worry about.

The racism is deliberate with this admin, and calculated to provoke outrage.

They do not want to argue about why we still do not have access to tests, nor do they wish to argue about wasted months declaring this a hoax.

But a national debate over nomenclature, calling everyone "snowflakes" while their giggling base of online trolls shit-posts about Kung-Flu?

That is right in their comfort zone.  Don't take the bait.  Gotta pick your battles in this time.

Everyone likes to think they are on the right side of the bell curve, but fact is, that half of all the people are on the left. If people should be punished with death by a virus according to IQ, Africa would be in trouble and so would the Caribbean islanders. The Chinese would be doing okay though.

PS: Not being racist. Just google IQ by country.

At times like this, we should have the best of the best leading the helm and steering us forward. Instead, we have the worst, most corrupt and incompetent leadership in modern history.

Not to diminish the severity of Covid-19, there is another epidemic that already kills 700,000 a year, and in the next few years will surpass cancer as the leading killer of people.

Antibiotic resistance. It is projected that by the year 2050, a staggering 10,000,000 people will die every year from it. Sexually transmitted diseases are already becoming incurable. Surgeries, going to the dentist, even simple illnesses and infections will soon be life threatening for us all. Unless we change our eating habits.

It is caused by our consumption of animals. Due to the amount of antibiotics farm animals are given to prolong their lives, and because most of us consume meat, eggs, and dairy, we in turn become immune to antibiotics.

Please do some research on this potential risk to all of humanity.

It is indeed a problem, it's not solely caused by the use of antibiotics in animals though (over prescription in humans and not finishing a course of antibiotics are also an issue)

We also don't need to stop eating meat to solve the problem, that's just vegan propaganda.

I read the report on this a while ago, it's caused by the excessive use of antibiotics in animals - the report made 3 suggestions to tackle the problem, none of which was to reduce the amount of meat or animal by-products we eat.

The proposal is to essentially reduce the excessive amounts of antibiotics used in animals and improve waste management so these antibiotics aren't released into the environment -
They do that, then we can carry on eating that delicious meat

Is it really vegan "propaganda" if it promotes the healthiest, most sustainable, environmentally friendly diet imaginable? A diet that doesn't require needless torture of innocent animals who do not want to die or suffer. If anything, the factory farming industry is feeding people propaganda.

Sensory pleasure shouldn't justify our actions. A dangerous philosophy if applied to other scenarios, therefore not a valid argument.

If I don't get to enjoy the tortured juices of a fat chicken, then you can bet your sweet ass that it's propaganda. And it will NEVER stop me.

Yes. This is literally the definition of vegan propaganda.

Propaganda is normally associated with promoting negativity. One day you'll understand that hurting and murdering animals for food or sport is barbaric and disgusting. Anyone who disagrees is simply currently on the wrong side of history, similarly to supporters of segregation and those against women's rights.
