Boy if the piss poor games weren't bad enough... Now we gotta be subjected too even more bland, mediacracy. What will them ultra sharp witted Hollywood movie and videogame makers think up next?
I can hardly wait for the Barbie movie, starring Nichole Kiddman, now...
Plus the fact that GTA is basically every gangster film ripped off with special car racing mission, or f***ing a girl or dating one or stealing a car (Oh, that never been done before... Wait, it's coming to me... Lost it again) So many pointless things in GTA that make it enjoyable and yet a film adaptation is like Scarface and Godfather mixed into one (RIP OFF)
Anyone else smell lawsuits?
Balt, nows the chance to go kill someone and blame it on the film before it comes out and maybe they can't make it.
I can only walk around a shitty, low polygon count, city stealing cars over and over and over and running over mindless, also shitty looking, polygon people for so long.
I can't play videogames, though... they get on my nerves. I can't bring myself to sit there and watch a moving object on the screen interact with other objects... it makes me feel like I've no life.
I do, however, catch myself watching displays in stores and such when a game with good visuals catches my eye. It's like a train wreck, you don't wanna look... but you do.
As for the movie... it'll have a host of no talent rappers, who call themselves artist in there and I'm sure they will center it around a white guy who thinks he's black and in return gets flack from it so he goes out and steals cars... blood the end!
I'm so sick of hollywood and their idea's it makes me even more sick.
I totally agree with Balt, Hollywood is so predictable and cliche nowadays. I doubt this film will be anything we haven't already seen before. Personally, I detest all these rap/gangster/thug films which are coming out, such as "8 Mile" and that new 50 Cent movie. They have no style or class. Just full of unnecessary violence and cursing with people trying to act tough in order to be the baddest of the bad.
What's the point?! No wonder there are so many hoods on the streets robbing and killing people just to prove that they are "tough", when in reality most of them either end up dead or behind bars. These films are setting the wrong example. There have been some good ones in the past, with purposeful themes and stories, but now they just seem pointless to me.
Next they'll make The Sims, that'll be the most original idea ever. You have a family living life as they normally would but wait! They have to go to the bathroom and mumble and shower and go swimming and piss on the carpet and magically conjure some housing equipment.
I'm getting excited thinking about it, my head almost exploded but than I remembered that life is boring and so is The Sims after an hour.
GTA is in every film, like I said. Who wants more of every other film? Hollywood because they don't have any original ideas or if they do they aren't making them or nobody here is reporting on them.
I hope at the end of the day they do something original and enjoyable.
They have the character from GTA Vice City I believe it was who has a chance to help them build a film around but it may still be another gangster film and since most people hate rap and gangster is usually attributed to rap you may hate the ideas they come up with.
