Though he won't be the one wearing the fat-suit for once, funnyman Martin Short has agreed to co-star in "The Santa Clause 3", which re-teams him with "Jungle2Jungle" co-star Tim Allen.

In the sequel, Short will play Jack Frost, the legendary iceman with some darstardly deeds planned for Christmas. Naturally, jolly Saint Nick/Scott (Allen) gets in his way.

The film, directed by Michael Lembeck ["The Santa Clause 2"], will see Short ["Three Amigos!", "Clifford"] pocket a cool seven-figure salary for his impendingly silly turn, says Variety.

"Santa Clause 3" is scheduled to begin shooting on Nov. 14 for a holiday 2006 release.

Hold it! Hold it! Where the hell does Martin "I'm the second most un-funny person, 1st being Sin Bad, in the world" Short get off getting 7 figures for anything? This is absurd! Where the hell is my bread and water? I don't see Martin Short coming up with a COFFIN CANYON, or A WALSTIB...

That... has to be the most heart wrenching news I've heard all day.

Agreed... Next thing you know David Spade will be getting higher salaries than Jim Carrey...

You know what's even worse? Tim Allen actually has a movie career... What's up with that?

I thought Pauly Shore wanting to be aserious actor and Tom Green humping a dead moose were the funniest things I've ever seen and a few minutes later got over.

Hey, that explains Tim Allen's movie career. I watched Santa Clause and now I'm over him because his acting is just below Carrot Top and just above Directors trying to make monkeys look smart on film (Tim Burton, I'm looking at you)

I don't think I'm alone in saying if films can't be appreciated by everyone they haven't done their job... I think a good film is one that can be enjoyed by all age groups no matter what the subject is although the exceptions are apparent but these types should be that way.

School of Rock for instance is one such film that is really good and yet it can speak to kids as well as adults.

If Tim Allen is a movie star than so is Pamela Anderson (And you know she's been in a lot of runaway hits...)

Mike Meyers wasn't the Cat in the Hat... sure he played the part, but he didn't convince me of that fact. I didn't picture The Cat talking like that, looking like that, or walking like that... Mike Myers tried too hard to be a JIM CAREY and it just din't work.

I'd like to walk up to MIKE MEYERS and say... Hey, guess who's been asking about you... Nobody!

He sucks and he's a tunesmith.

How did we go from Tim Allen, a guy who's a bad comedian to Mike Myers someone who actually has a career as a comedian?

I didn't like any of the Wayne's World movies.
I didn't like So I married an Axe Murder.
I didn't like Austin Powers 3, I do find the 1st 2 rather funny... rather funny in deed.
I think Cat in the Hat is appauling.
I think both Shreks were rather weak, with the exception of Antionio as PUSS IN BOOTS in the 2nd one.

So all in all... no, I'm not a M.M. fan. I think the funniest thing he ever did, and this is so so random and most won't even remember this but... if you do then you might have the same sense of humor as I do.  Susan Luci of ALL MY CHILDREN lost her 4 or 5th year emmy run and she hosted SNL that weekened... Well, at the very beginning, MIKE MEYERS and all the cast were back stage and everyone was walking around with emmy props in their hands and she walked back there and he got right in her face and said "EMMY FIGHT!!!!!" and everyone started throwing emmy awards at eachother.

That was classic, funny ass shit!!! I've never seen anything so, just, raw and in your face and just random as that... IT makes me laugh to this day just thinking about it... Now that is comedy.

This is way off topic. Please discuss your feelings about Tim Allen and Mike Meyers in General Chat.

Tim Allen was on The Tonight Show last week and mentioned that Santa Clause 3 wrapped two weeks ago.

Yep. I don't get why they're making this. WHY? Do they really think we need another one?

And it won't make them that much money. It'll probably get MAYBE $18,000,000

Oh you have to be kidding me. The first one was the best, and then the sequel was okay, this one is going to go downhill. Sure it may make a few million the first week, but after that, they're going to blow it.

It doesn't look good at all, but it does look like my little brother (4) will enjoy this...only because it looks like there will be a lot of colors and loud noises and some (kid-like) action.

Oh well...hollywood the brainless...its nothing new.
