No she didn't! that movie sucked, the script sucked, they ruined it and they should be ashamed of themselves for mucking up "yet another" masterpiece. Hollywood is so famous for doing this now.
Fog TCM Amity-ville Evil Dead Dawn of the dead Exorcist Saw
and the list goes on and on and on... leave the classics alone and find something new to fuck with.
You do know why they couldn't progress with a follow up to the absurdly bad TCM remake, don't you? Cause they were gonna have him running around with a chainsaw for an arm, cause his was cut off at the end of the pile of shit remakes... When fans got wind of it they back lashed against it heavily do to another... um... well known man with a chainsaw for an arm.
Hollywood is out of ideas and prequels and and sequels just show that further. |

Saw is a remake of an old old old old italian/french film called TORSO... the credits to this have seemingly been tossed aside, though. Watch it, you'll see what I mean.
EVILDEAD is being remade now... with Ashton Kutcher playing Ash.
It's just sad. |

Nope it's true. Sad as it is... it's true. Kutcher is Ash... Rami loves him, he said he's the most gifted "young" actor around. I hardly call 29 young. I think Rami is just... gone.
Saw heavily borrows from Torso... though many would never know it, cause many have never seen Torso. However, good or bad the movie was. It paved the way for "Saw" to be made... much like the pile of shit movie "High Tension" was stolen from a Dean Koontz book.
Nothing you see is new. It's all been done before. You might believe it to be new cause you've never seen it done before and that's what Hollywood is banking on... that you haven't seen these old horror movies.
Movies like Torso and A Blade in the Dark and Twitch of the Death nerve. Cause had you seen them movies then you'll see where all these "new" movies are coming from. It's out and out theft, if you ask me. |

70's... about mid. It's very abstract. Very hard to follow and very disturbing. It houses the famous motorcycle scene that you have to see to believe. I won't ruin it for you.
All in all the movie was flawed and I do think Saw was a better film... it's just not original like everyone seems to think it is. I laugh when people say stuff like that. |

Pretty much every "horror" film these days is either a remake of a much better film from years ago or its a sequel to a cruddy film from a few years ago. House of Wax, Ring 2...geez just look it up. |

For the love of all that is cinema, avoid the Ring movies. If you want scares, go for the original Japanese Ringu flicks. They're miles ahead of the Americrapized versions.
As for TCM, I hated the remake. It was overdrawn, dull, boring, pointless, covered the same ground, didn't do anything new... hey, sort of like this review. Wait, that rhymed! This is now five point nine times more clever than the movie was. |

The remake of TCM was one of the worst films I've ever seen, and I'm not just saying that. I actually spent 13 bucks on a previously viewed DVD and I really really want that 13 back. Originally I thought I would get some good gore out of it, but not even that!
Horrible direction, terrible acting, god-awful script, disappointing gore...there's nothing to like in this movie. I think this proves it, anything with Michael Bay attached to it is going to suffer disappointment one way or another.
Since Hollywood obviously didn't learn from the disappointing 2005 summer season, they're going to have to do it the hard way. In 2003 TCM made a healthy 80 million despite everyone saying how they hated it. If this sequel is still on track to be released, it'll make half of that at the most. Audiences are tired of this crap that they're charging us a fortune to see. |

I Love The Remake as well. Jessica Biel was looking fine as ever. A Good fun ride. Way better than the oringial by all means.
Speaking of Evil Dead (which all 3 Movies sucked) being remade is stupid, and Balt I agree with you on Ashton Kutcher being Ash is like getting hit in the head with a brick 20 times. They ruined it when they made the oringal so they should just stop while they are ahead. |

I can't believe their going to make a prequel to Texas chainsaw massacre. Texas chainsaw massacre, the one from the seventies and the one made recently both sucked. With all these horrible remakes coming in no wonder the box office is going down. |

I liked the original, but hated the sequels and remake.I watched the "TCM The Next Generation" again a day ago(simply because it came free with my copy of Hostel) and what a piece of crap that was!So I agree, but if it will make them money, then they will make it! It still has an audience. |

Rumor has it that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning trailer will be attached to many prints of The Omen, which opens tomorrow. Word has it, that it's very similar to the remake trailer and 'Amazing Grace' plays in it. It's the full trailer, not a teaser. It should be online any day now and I'll post it, when it's up.

I disagree with you... NExt Gen was a great film, for what it was. It was worlds better than TCM 2 and the remake. The acting was brilliant on the behalf of Matthew and Renee. They seemed to be having fun with the movie and although it did get out there a bit at times... it was something new and, you know what... Original for the series. I still stand by my belief that TCM 3 is the best of the entire series. Yes, even better than TCM... it's a more complete, more well rounded movie with a better hook to a tired story. I'd also like to make Tobe Hooper look like a fool here, as I did when John Carpenter stole the idea for Halloween from Bob Clark... Tobe Hooper made the claim that he didn't know who Ed Gien was at the time of writing and filming TCM... He only knew of the stories of this man... Well, if that's the case why, at the end of the movie, is the Trucker named Ed Gien -- Only spelt differently? Yeah, right Tobe! You're a SLOP DONG, just like John Carpenter and PISS Craven! |

New Line recently provided Bloody-Disgusting with a new one-sheet for the prequel, which follows two brothers who embark on a road trip across Texas with their girlfriends. They soon run into trouble when they cross paths with a maniacal sheriff and are taken to a house of horrors. Within waits a man who'll be groomed to become the thing known as Leatherface. -Zavier |

Okay I see there are quite a few haters out there but. Well I think this movie kinda' stole the name from the Exorcist: The Beginning. Well kinda' obvious to see but, could just be the best name. I actually know a guy who holds the boom mike for the new TCM. Only for 10 scenes he did. He said it got heavy but, I do think they could be starting to milk the series but, my friend said it's good. So I'm going to see it. The previews actually look pretty good. Scary but good. I saw the original and remake before. Liked them. I can see how the 'Beginning' will work. Remember the remake the girl tehy pick up who blows her mouth with the gun. Well it will probally have her in the group of teens. They have to escape the Leatherface, who will brutally torture them. The parents can't do anything. The one girl will escape and then the next one. Well. I'll probally cath this movie. Post my review up here. I know it's weird I usually don't like lots of sequels but, man, something has happened to me. The few sequels coming out are better. Well. All and all. TCM The Beginning. |
