It would be good to get a second in this franchise... It's all a little to early though IMO...
I'm not a huge Comic book adaptation fan, along the lines of all these colorful X-men and F4 films... However I am a huge comic book adaptation fan when it comes to the darker films such as Ghost rider, Sin city, Spawn, The Crow, Watchmen... As so on.
I will be keeping my eyes open for my fave Comic book though, Captain America... And if the rumors have any sort of depth to them, Steven Speilberg will be directing it... In which case I'll not be watching it...

If this sequel is made, I don't think Mark Steven Johnson will be back. I mean, I don't think the Execs (if they have any brains) will want him back. This movie had all the ingredients of one of those underdog blockbusters, but MSJ just made a mediocre CGI film with cheesy one-liners for kids. BRING BACK DAVID GOYER AND STEVE NORRINGTON!!!
Norrington directed the first Blade film, which Goyer wrote. But yeah, Alex Proyas could probably turn out a great Ghost Rider film as well. I would go to see it.
People are forgetting here that Alex Proyas was the man who directed The Crow, which was a very successful film and is still watched today by its legions of fans, including myself. Any director who creates a film like that can't be that bad. I think the dark, supernatural elements that Proyas captured so well in The Crow would have been ideal for Ghost Rider. Norrington could have brought these elements to the table as well, and would have been just as successful.
